Rebecca Smith
A lawyer by profession, Rebecca is an occasional thinker, and even less occasional writer with a string of letters behind her name that she considers too pretentious to use. Rebecca wrote her Masters thesis in law on the fraud of corporate social responsibility, and its use as a construct to deflect and mute civil displeasure of corporate misfeasance, including ecocide and genocide. Led down the path to law by a youth punctuated by direct action, Rebecca’s present view of the legal profession is that it is an extremely limited means for doing good in a world dominated by power structures.
